The worlds largest South Sami erthhut was built in June 1995. Ingvald Jåma led the building.
This was his 30th and largest earthhut he has built.The earthhut in Finnvikdalen was meant for Winter Olympics 1994 in Lillehammer:
The purpose was to show tourists the Sami culture. Of different reasons it ended on Tomma instead.The sami hut was officially opened 30th of September 1995 by the mayor, Anne Lise Wold.
The Sami hut is owned and by co-operation between Per-Inge Bentzen and Nesna municipality.
The Sami hut is built with support from Nordland County.The Sami hut is 9m in diameter and ca 7m tall.

1 night: less than 10 persons: 385 NOK
